R5 Alpine pushrods, suitable for atmospheric prep’ed engine with sporty camshaft, lighter and stronger than OE
Description:
- Made of 39NiCrMo3PB + QT steel (NiCrMo)
- Active contact surfaces are nitrided to 51-52 HRC
- Having the steel quenched and tempered increases strength and rigidity compared to OE but retains elasticity and a certain amount of softness
- Multiple vibro and micro polishing operations at different stages of manufacturing to eliminate stress concentration points and to obtain contact surfaces smoothness
- Weight variation between parts is max 0.3 gr, insuring equal loads in the valve train
- Contact surface radius/size greater than OE, for better load distribution and less wear over time
- Browned for corrosion protection
- Lenghts 176.5 and 204 mm, diameter 6.4 mm.
Note: the cam followers, pushrods and adjustment screws are to be fitted as a set and cannot be mixed with OE parts
